garden
Our gardener Margit has been looking after our large garden for over three decades. Her aim is to fertilise only naturally, with home-made microorganisms, or to use home remedies such as soft soap against leaf run, sheep's wool for balcony flowers, tomatoes & herbs.
Since 2022, we have had seven large raised beds - a long-cherished wish - and our field, which is alternately planted with potatoes or cabbages.
The field and beds provide us with Asian lettuce, radicchio, lettuce, rocket, pak choi, cucumbers, courgettes, pumpkin, cabbage, celery and much more, as well as many different herbs. A whole raised bed blooms wildly with edible flowers, another with chives, parsley and garlic.
In the large orchards around the house you will find apple, pear, quince and plum trees, and of course many elder trees. In between ponies and donkeys, our garden chess and playground.

is important to us
In the Lyric Garden you will also find a wide variety of wild flowers and herbs, watercress, nettles, hop shoots and much more.
Our kitchen team uses the harvest in creative ways: as a starter, a greeting from the kitchen, as a great side dish or decoration.
